GenerAsian NeXt 2010 Youth Leadership Conference

GenerAsian NeXt Youth Leadership Conference is a statewide, annual teen conference to raise awareness for violence prevention among Asian youth. This will take place August 7, 2010 at the Ohio Union at The Ohio State University from 830am – 6pm.

Three tracks are offered this year: Teens of all ethnicities ages 13-18, Teens’ parents, and Professionals. Professionals and parents may receive five continuing education units (5 CEU’s), provided by the OSU College of Social Work.

This teen conference is hosted by Asian American Community Services and major sponsors for this event are The Ohio State University College of Social Work; The Ohio State University Taiwanese American Student Association; The Ohio State University Office of Minority Affairs; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Rape Prevention and Education Grant through the Ohio Department of Health; and the Columbus Medical Association Foundation Youth Advisory Council.
