S. K. Gupta, VP for Operations at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, is the next distinguished speaker in NAAAP's Leadership Webinar series. In this webinar, titled "Helping Asians Move to the Corner Office", Mr. Gupta will present and answer participant's questions on February 24, 9:00-10:30 P.M. Eastern time. Mr. Gupta will discuss his career path, talk about breaking down barriers, and share his 3 rules for success and the 4 S’s of good leadership. Mr. Gupta will also address the strengths of the Asian American culture, overcoming stereotypes, and taking risks.

S.K. Gupta is vice president of Operations for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company (SSC). Gupta's responsibilities include the Material Management, Transportation, Publications & Services, and Environment, Safety & Health organizations as well as about 17 million square feet of facility operations across ten states. Additionally, he manages all of SSC’s capital investments and leads SSC’s efforts for LM21 Operating Excellence and Target Zero.

As the first corporate director of LM21 Operating Excellence at Lockheed Martin Corporation, Gupta helped implement a culture of continuous improvement. Beginning in 2004, Gupta began winning a number of national awards for engineering and leadership excellence, including the Department of Defense’s 1997 Single Process Initiative Award.

S.K. Gupta has engineering degrees from the Marine Engineering College in India and the University of Michigan, an MBA from Seattle University, and executive management training at Columbia, Northwestern and Santa Clara Universities, and the Lockheed Martin’s Center for Leadership Education, Gupta has published and presented on technical, business, and leadership topics.
